Mik and I got to go to a Bumble and bumble event in Beverly Hills in April. It was a night of all things Bumble and bumble and hair.

California loving

In April we went to California for a business trip but got to have a little fine while we were there as well! Of course good food is always on the menu for us. Sprinkles is always a must and we got to check out the new cupcake ATM.

I Just Turned 50

I think my dad had a week long birthday celebration. His actual birthday was the same day as the priesthood session at conference so we had an early dinner at Carrabba's.

Then celebrated at the ranch house after with cake and ice cream.

50 is Nifty

My dad turned 50 in May so Keely and I decided to throw him a surprise party. Many hours, late nights and cursing Pinterest later we had a party! On a side note can we all agree that Pinterest needs to not make things look so easy?!

Yes this is a pinata, and no we did not break it that night because it took us too long to make it to let it be destroyed (we did break it open a few nights later).









The easier of the creations was this picture collage of my dad throughout the years, it was fun for everyone to look at them all during the party.

Grateful

The last few months have been stressful ones at the Severe's. Miks started school again which is exciting but the unknown is scary, we have been remodeling the salon, my health and hormones have a mind of their own, I guess you can say I've been in a funk. Today I got some devastating news from one of my dear salon clients and it's completely made me do a 180. I've realized what I'm going through now seems trivial and has made me count my blessings and SO grateful for this guy:

Marching

March was a productive and fun month for us! We redid the back room at the salon making it lighter and more organized.



Hunger Games premiere



We went and saw my friend Kelsey in the Vagina Monologues. So funny! Keely was dying!



My grandpa Arden passed away and we attended his funeral in Heber. He was an amazing man and left behind an amazing legacy!



And lots of yummy food happened as always.

Our Happy Place

Everyone always makes fun of us but Mik and I can't get enough of Disneyland. It's our happy place. I think it takes us back to being little kids and reliving a little magic.
