ANNIVERSARY TRIP!

For our anniversary we decided to go to Park City. Far enough away that it felt like it was truly a vacation and close enough that we could cruise to the salon if there was any sort of emergency (there wasn't). It was so nice to get away and relax and enjoy delicious food! Friday we went to the Farmers Market which was a total let down so we headed to the outlet stores (LOVED it!) and then Main Street.

We were sad to find out that Chloe Lane went out of business!!!

Our favorite cheap restaurant is Davanzas they have the most delicious Philly cheesesteak!

Across the street was a new cute candy store. Yum!

For our anniversary dinner we ate at Chimayos. It was SO good! We finished our meal off with mexican fondue. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! (Churros dipped in chocolate? you bet!)

Saturday we went to Olympic Park to watch the ski freestyle aerial show. It was amazing! Definitely recommend it!

It's a bunch of trained athletes that go off huge jumps into a swimming pool. A bunch of them are going to be trying out for the next winter olympics. It really was so awesome!

Mik caught a signed poster!
There was also a olympic museum...

Afterward we headed to main street for lunch and happened upon the Mustang Car Show. These are my 2 favorites! Pink of course...

Yep you are seeing right this one is black sparkly! I seriously have a nail polish that matches this (OPI "in my private jet" if you must know), I told Mik it was a sign.

We ended the weekend with Park Silly street market

and dinner at ZOOM
It was so nice to get away just the 2 of us! I am so grateful I am married to Mik and what a great husband he is! I'm definitely more in love with him then I was 1 year ago and am excited for the future!

MARSHMALLOW WARS

My life has been so crazy so I'm so behind on my blogging! I'm going to try and catch up the next couple of days! Last night the kids decided to have a marshmallow fight. Karter gathered guns (pieces of pipe) and everyone got their own cup of marshmallows (add that to your grocery list mom!). They shoved their marshmallows in and went at it! The best part? they did it outside so no cleanup!

Later the guns turned to swords
not so fun when you get "stabbed"!

SALON K PHOTO SHOOT!

We have been working on a website for Salon K and I decided that I want to use only my images. I didn't want to pull random pictures off of the internet. So last week mik and I decided to do a photo shoot and who better to use then family?! Nothing fancy just some hair and a camera! Here's a sneak preview for you!

This one is my favorite of the day

You didn't know Kortni was a model did you? She was our model for the day, she was such a good sport! We've decided she's the face of Salon K

Mik got really into the whole photo shoot and ended up taking most of the pictures. I think it brought him back to his big modeling days.

Baby and Karlos were hanging out with us the entire time so i took some shots of them. They turned out so cute!
CRAZY baby...

gotta love karl

No joke, Karson was LOVING his mohawk!

MIKS NEW JOB

Mik got a new job as a busser at Sundance. So if you go up there make sure you say HI! He has been LOVING it! They get tipped extremely well up there because people drink and then get very generous with their tipping (the ONE plus side to drinking i guess!). We are so grateful Mik was able to find a second job to help support us!

AMERICA! AMERICA!

We had a great 4th of July! Unfortunately Mik had to work late Friday night and then early Saturday morning so I decided to take the kids to the "Clubhouse" to spend the night and "camp out" with the rest of Provo. We had a blast! Friday night we enjoyed some gelato, watched the people down below and watched Around the World in 80 Days. We hit the sack and woke up to the ice cream man at 7am (who eats ice cream that early!?)
The kids looking at the hot air balloons

We enjoyed the pre parade from the balcony

After getting dressed and brushing our hair we headed to the parade

After the parade we headed to a family party where we ate, swam and surfed!

I didn't get any pictures but later that night we lounged in the backyard enjoying ice cream as we watched the fireworks from the stadium.
