NEFF GOODIES!

A couple days ago we received this package on our doorstep, I have never seen Mik so excited!

Mik is friends with Shaun Neff who owns the clothing company Neff, we saw him at a Jazz game a couple months ago and he told Mik he would send some goodies out to us. We thought it would be a couple tshirts but it turned out to be a ton of tshirts, hats, beanies, sweatshirts, coats and swimsuits! It was such am awesome suprise!

I HOPE THEY CALL ME ON A MISSION!

Last Wednesday we sent Kyler off to serve a mission for the LDS church. Tuesday night he was set apart as an Elder, it was definitely an emotional night! Even Mik cried which definitely says a lot! We are going to miss him like crazy but I know the people in Uruguay need him more then we do right now.

what a handsome missionary!

We stayed up into the late hours of the night "helping" Kyler pack and all giving him our input on what we thought he needed to pack and not pack. Mostly we just wanted to spend all the time we could with him before morning came! Wednesday morning we woke up bright and early and went to breakfast.

We took him straight to the airport so he could fly to the Argentina MTC. It was a sad and exciting day all rolled into one. We are so proud of Kyler for choosing to serve a mission but can't wait for him to come home!

HAWAII: TEMPLE

We went and saw the LDS Temple while we were in Hawaii.  It was under construction so it was closed but it was so beautiful! I am so grateful for the Temple and the work we can do there. I am especially grateful to be able to be sealed to Mik so i can be together with him and have a wonderful eternity!

HAWAII: SURFING & SWIMMING!

We could not stay out of the water while we were in Hawaii! Everyone would stay outside all day swimming, boogie boarding, kayaking, surfing and laying out (my specialty!).

There weren't big enough waves to surf in the ocean so Mik tried it out in the pool

we also tried paddle boarding which was trickier then it looks!

HAWAII: POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER

After we got use to the time change we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It turned out to be quite the adventure!   First stop we got ourselves some tribal tattoos (mind you this is a church run operation!). Mine didn't really mean anything but Miks meant he was Chief!

I'm really excited to be there!

We went to watch this show and they pulled mik up to make fire and dance! Better him then me right?!
He didn't quite make fire but he was sure making a lot of smoke!

Here's a video of my islander hubby!

HAWAII: PEARL HARBOR

Sorry about my far and few blog posts life has been crazy! We went to Hawaii a couple weeks ago with my family and had so much fun! We all got to relax and spend time together before Kyler left on his mission. I have so many pictures that im going to post them in parts. Sunday after church we went to Pearl Harbor, Mik LOVES history so he was all about it!
here we are waiting for the movie to start

we took a ferry out to the memorial

I had to hurry and snap this picture before they moved! We miss you like crazy Kyler!

After the memorial we went onto a submarine. It was SO claustrophobic! i couldn't imagine being stuck down there for a day let alone months!
