23

Thursday, July 29 was Mik's 23rd Bday. I'm such a lucky lady to have this guy as my husby!

The night before I took the kids to get balloons, this humongous one wouldn't even fit in the mini van door! Karly offered to hold onto it while it hung out the window but luckily after putting the backseat down it fit in the back....barely!

All Mik wanted to do for his birthday was use his new grill, so we invited family over for a BBQ. Mik grilled the hot dogs.

BOYS

Going through my pictures as of late I've realized boys like to stack on top of each other...
Whether it's a mega stack in the pool

Or even pretending that you're a abnormally tall man...?

WEDDING

One of the Stylists from our salon, Rachel, got married. She looked great and the wedding was beautiful.

4TH WEEKEND

It was so lovely to have the 4th fall on a Sunday this year, it meant we got a 3 day weekend here in Utah! We had a lazy Saturday swimming, laying out and eating slurpies.

Saturday night was the Stadium of Fire so we watched the fireworks from my parents backyard. While waiting for the fireworks we swam, ate delicious food and roasted huge marshmallows.

YUM!

Sunday we BBQ'd with friends.

A newer tradition we have started is taking the kids to "the clubhouse" the night before the parade and have a sleepover. Karson was so 'cited this year because he finally got to come!

Mik met up with a bunch of family and friends on scooters and motorcycles to "candy bomb" all the people on University Avenue.

Mom and Dad ready to go!

My birds eye view of the scooter gang.

After watching a movie we went to the Shred Shack for a late night snack.

We woke up bright and early for the parade the next morning. Some of us a little more tuckered out then others.

Parade Time!

The Harley Davidson mascot (a sasquatch) pulled Brooke out of the bleachers and made him ride in the parade!

OUCH! Burned his leg on the hot pipe:

Love these summer days!

BBQ TIME!

Last night Mik used his grill for the very first time:

It was also his first time ever grilling a real dinner (apparantally hot dogs don't count). Halibut and asparagus were on the menu, I stood back and watched the magic. He learned things like when you put a ceder board in the grill dont turn it on high or the board will catch on fire. Needless to day the meal was delicious! What a lovely evening!
