DECEMBER SO FAR

Wow where has the month gone!? Was my last post really Thanksgiving?! December has been a crazy month for us. It has been filled with work, birthdays and gift finding. Sadly I have been too busy to take very many pictures but here is a little update... A few days after Thanksgiving Mik and I went on a hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree. And yes we did find it! Here we are at the tree lot:

Then it was time to decorate! Mik did the honors of putting the star on the tree...

It turned out to be more of tricky task then we thought but he got that star on there! Couldn't have done it better myself!

When you don't have a 3rd person or a tripod you turn to stacking books and turning the camera timer on. Lovely and oh so flattering.

Tuesday we threw a work party for our hard working stylists. We headed to the Harley Davidson in Lindon to lounge, enjoy some delicious Marley's Sliders, lounge, of course gifts and some more lounging. Mik made everyone fully recline on their lazyboys. Oh the life! I got so distracted with our white elephant game i only got 1 picture!
We hope you are enjoying your holiday season as much as we are!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We hope you had as great of a Thanksgiving as we did! We stuffed our faces at Gma Lytle's house this year. SO DELICIOUS! After our bellies were full to the brim I decided we needed to take some family photos. I know I know a little weird since it's just the 2 of us but my parents have a wall in their house covered in family photos from almost every year starting when they got married and I LOVE all the different outfits, hairstyles but most of all the memories. So even though Mik was reluctant about taking some with only us I was adamant! Then Thanksgiving night we spent at a traditional Jazz game, even better was they won! GO JAZZ!

*I have most of your addresses for christmas cards but if you think we don't have yours email it to me k.roney@hotmail.com

A BACHELORETTE SHOWER!

I threw a friend a bridal/bachelorette shower last week, we had a blast! Let me warn you it was a bit of a bachelorette shower so there may be a few risque pics....don't worry i edited out the worst ones.

Since I have zero time on my hands I kept the decorations and food simple. I made this garland out of newspaper and scraps of paper i already had. SO EASY! INSTRUCTIONS: Cut the newspaper to what size you want and fold it like a paper fan, glue or staple it in a circle. To make the circles I traced around bowls of different sizes on scrap paper that I had and glued them on top of each other and then on top of the newspaper circles. I headed to my moms to cut out the letters (derek *heart* ashley) and glued those on. Then I glued them all on a ribbon I had as well. I used hot glue it holds well and dried easily. The finished product:

Cut triangles out of leftover wedding invitations and glued them on a ribbon:

Yummy treats...

Yummy cupcakes with brownie hearts...

The Bachelorette/Bride to be

We played the question game and for every one she got wrong she had to put a piece of gum in her mouth!

some gifts...

Allison showing off her gift (sorry allison i just couldn't help myself!)

HALLOWEENTOWN!

A few days before my birthday weekend Mik and I babysat the fam. I tried to keep them entertained with all sorts of halloween fun. We made caramel popcorn balls (Karly thought it would be fun and I think it kind of grossed her out!)...

I learned a trick or two from Martha and made some spooky snakes and a sock skeleton. (only got a picture of the snakes, Karter was too excited to play with the skeleton but such a cute easy idea!)
You can't have Halloween without making some lady fingers...

and of course you have to try on costumes to find your favorite

It's always fun to spend a few days with the children! This baby never fails to make me laugh!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!

For my birthday my parents treated Mik and I to a California/Disneyland trip. It was the best birthday weekend ever! They were in LA for the Nuskin Convention so Mik and I flew and met them Friday night. We spent the night at the Omni Hotel and awoke to find this beauty outside our window:

It was a huge art piece made out of airplane parts. Pretty cool!

We could also see the Walt Disney Concert Hall so we had to check that out as well! It was a very cool building, and no we did not find the panel that is opened on the movie Get Smart.

Next we journeyed to Rodeo Drive to do a little shopping and sadly did not get any pictures! Next up: Graumans Chinese Theater to see the walk of stars and all the fun handprints. My favorite was the Harry Potter handprints (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) my hands are in Hermione's and if you can see they also made prints of their wands!

Mik refused to touch the handprints so our first task was to find an actor that was worth stopping for a picture once we found Johnny Depp he was sold! And no he still did not touch the ground this was as close as he got!

We drove to our hotel, Paradise Pier, and headed to The Cheesecake Factory for a delicious meal (can anyone say pumpkin cheesecake?!). We walked around the shops and had to stop in the Harley store...

Then Mik almost got caught by the wicked witch!

Oh did I mention Mik and my Dad got matching shoes at Nike Town?

Sunday we spent time with the Brassfields and then headed to the California Roney's to celebrate Patience's birthday. Sadly I didn't get any pictures there either! The next morning was my birthday! First up was the character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. I am seriously frightened of the characters, you never know who's under there!!!

Afterwards we met up with Reagan and Patience and headed to the happiest place on earth!

Walt Disney used to live above the fire house and now they always leave a light on in the window to remember him.

Not a great picture but here we are going on Splash Mountain. As you can see my dad is so happy my mom is in front of him because she got SOAKED! My dad was spared all except a soggy sock. Yes he took it off and flung it around to dry, and yes he smacked people with it!

As you probably have figured out I LOVE Halloween so I was in heaven with all the decorations and fun Halloween stuff!

Fun Fact: Brigham Young's body was carried in this hearse....

Next was lunch and my parents surprised me by taking us to Club 33! What is Club 33 you ask? Basically it's an exclusive members only club in Disneyland that serves food, it's also the only place in the whole park that sells alcohol (no we did not take advantage).

They came and sang me Happy Birthday
and I got this cute Mickey cake!

Then it was time for California Adventure

The boys enjoyed California Screaming twice while the girls sidelined it so they wouldn't be sick. Brooke is really excited!

This was right when they took off! Check out those faces!

Me, Mom and Patience with the Giant candy corn!
It was my Uncle Reagans Birthday as well, it was so fun to celebrate together!

Thanks mom and dad for the fun weekend! Thanks Reagan and Patience for stuffing your faces with us and for celebrating birthdays together! What a fun perfect birthday weekend!
