Oh Christmas Tree

We decided to brave the freezing weather and get our Christmas tree a couple weeks ago. We froze our buns off but found the perfect Charlie Brown tree (our favorite!).



And VOILA the finished product!



And on a side note, I have been obsessed with anything and everything peppermint these days. Peppermint ice cream and peppermint jo jo's have definitely been a staple in our house the month of December!

DECEMBER SO FAR

Wow where has the month gone!? Was my last post really Thanksgiving?! December has been a crazy month for us. It has been filled with work, birthdays and gift finding. Sadly I have been too busy to take very many pictures but here is a little update... A few days after Thanksgiving Mik and I went on a hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree. And yes we did find it! Here we are at the tree lot:

Then it was time to decorate! Mik did the honors of putting the star on the tree...

It turned out to be more of tricky task then we thought but he got that star on there! Couldn't have done it better myself!

When you don't have a 3rd person or a tripod you turn to stacking books and turning the camera timer on. Lovely and oh so flattering.

Tuesday we threw a work party for our hard working stylists. We headed to the Harley Davidson in Lindon to lounge, enjoy some delicious Marley's Sliders, lounge, of course gifts and some more lounging. Mik made everyone fully recline on their lazyboys. Oh the life! I got so distracted with our white elephant game i only got 1 picture!

PLAYING AT UNIVERSITY MALL!

My lucky parents are in lovely Mexico so Mik and i are in charge this week. Karter and Karson were getting a little stir crazy so Mik and I took them to the university mall this morning to check out the new play area. have you seen it yet? They have the tree back but they also have dinosaur bones you can play on. They LOVED it! Its a good place to go get some energy out while its cold outside!

OH CHRISTMAS TREE OH CHRISTMAS TREE!

here are some pictures of us actually getting our cute little tree. we went with my family and had quite the experience! lets just say we are happy we actually got a tree!

Thursday morning i took the little kids to gardners village to give my mom a break. it was our first time going during christmas and it was actually really fun! they have elves and christmas decorations up all over the place, and the shops had such cute christmas stuff!  we walked around with papers for a scavenger hunt and at the end they got to trade it in for a candy stick!

karson LOVED the ducks! he chased them all over the place and kept trying to grab them, luckily they were pretty nice and didnt try to bite!

DECK THE HALLS!

we had a week full of christmas! we started it off by going and getting christmas trees with my family (those pictures are on my phone so ill have to post them later). we went to target and had a blast picking out our very own ornaments! here are a few pictures of our first tree!

Tuesday we went to the opening night of the festival of trees. we didnt bid on any but had fun checking out all the amazing trees!

here are a couple of our favorite trees. this one was made out of wood and had balls that went up through it and dropped down through pipes and jumps and stuff...

this one was our favorite! it was made completely out of hand blown glass! we wanted to bid on it but the starting bid was $25,000!!!

i was babysitting on thursday and most of you probably didnt notice but it snowed for about 3 minutes. karter was so excited he ran outside so of course karson followed. by the time i got them both in some warm clothes it had already stopped snowing! bummer! ok snow its december we are ready for you!
